About Us
A diverse community home for male international students in the heart of Boston.
Find more than just a place to live, find home and a family! The International Fellowship House is home for twenty male students, scholars, and researchers from across the globe. Our residents find a home, excel at their work, build lifelong friendships, and engage in thoughtful conversations. We hope that through this community of multicultural friendship and family our residents grow in their knowledge of themselves and of others, and become better people as a result.
We offer housing year round, and often have residents who live here over different seasons (for example here for both the academic year and summer). Take a look at the different periods of stay to see which one might be what you’re looking for!

Academic Year Housing
During the academic school year (August/September – May/June) the IFH houses male students and researchers. These applicants are given priority.

Fall/Spring Semester
Depending on availability we can provide housing for Fall or Spring semester students. This is dependent on how many residents we have that can already commit to an entire academic school year.

Summer + Guest Stays
A summer contract is 2 weeks to 3 months beginning in May/June and ending by August 31. Guest stays are sometimes available for male students or travelers looking to stay 2 weeks or less. These stays are subject to availability.

life
What is it like to live at the international fellowship house?
Life at the International Fellowship House thrives on each resident supporting one another, maintaining our home, and engaging regular rhythms of chores and activities. We enjoy regular meals with each other, have regular discussions, go on trips, explore Boston, and have lots of conversation whether over a meal, a coffee, on a trip to Vermont, late into the night when you don’t want to work on a paper, cooking together, or passing in the hall on your way to do laundry. We also know that mid-terms, end-of-semesters, lab research and busy seasons are hard–everyone has plenty of time to attend to their busy demands while also having a place to come home to and people to celebrate these milestones with.
The core values of the IFH are love, respect, service and humility. The IFH believes these values are lived and taught by Jesus, and are part of what makes all societies and people live together well, regardless of their cultural or religious background. The IFH, primarily through its Managers and Board members, seeks to live out these core values for the benefit of the community. We hope each person who is part of the IFH will embrace these core values and will help us bring them to life in this home! The way we think about these core values are:
.
Love
To want and seek the good of others; to care for others in an open, kind, and welcoming way; to provide a sense of acceptance and belonging; to assume the best of intentions from others.
.
Respect
Regardless of difference, to treat others with dignity and value.
.
Service
To help others and the community in a way that creates something that is better for everyone, even at some cost to you.
.
Humility
To recognize that we all err and have limits to what we can think and do; that others have much to teach us and share with us; that we depend very much on others through their love and service to us.

Why don’t you stay a while?
For over 50 years hundreds of residents from all over the world have been able to call the International Fellowship House home.

Together, we can do more!
In a world where racial tensions are high, misunderstandings prevail, and fear dominates, cross cultural friendship serves to break down these barriers. Help us as we continue to offer a warm, safe place for international students in Boston.
